To connect people to Jesus we must be willing to engage to whomever God will bring into our lives. God loves everyone. From the rich, the powerful, and the popular, to the least, the last, and the little, WITHOUT CONNECTIVITY TO JESUS they are considered and condemned lost! Luke declared Jesus’ mission in no uncertain terms, “The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10).
I Corinthians 3:10-15 and Luke 6:46-49 gave us the reasons: Transformation, Influence, and Growth we mentioned above can only happen with the RIGHT FOUNDATION. In the cited Corinthian text above—Jesus is declared as the ONLY right foundation. And Jesus is WHERE church is founded! Anyone connected to Christ and His church is standing on a solid rock. If one desires a VICTORIOUS LIVING connectivity to Christ and His church is indispensable
Every disciple should make disciples—-not many, not most, but every disciple should make disciples! Not just church staff, not just “mature” Christians, and not just the evangelistic types. Regardless of vocations, work schedules, status, gender, or age, race, or educational attainment, every disciple should make disciples! This is God’s call for every member of His church but how can this be possible? The answer leads us to a New Testament culture. The culture of equipping every member so that he or she will become a minister that takes part in the fulfillment of the Great commission. Oftentimes, the most searching question is: “Do we spend more time ministering to people or preparing people to minister.
The calling of the church is not to build a ministry but to make disciples, not to entertain a crowd but to win souls and establish strategic assemblies in all territories that will result in the salvation and transformation of lives and changed communities. In order for these to take place, equipped disciples should be empowered and unleashed to make disciples that in turn will make disciples. Equipping process in the church should not only be geared toward doing ministry but preparing members to become ministers in whatever giftedness they possessed from God.
